How do you access the G980 cabin?

Unlike most RIBs with a cabin that asks passengers to squeeze through a small side door, the G980 takes a different approach with a front console door that opens upward.

With the door raised, you step down into the cabin at full standing height with clear headroom above you. There is nothing to crouch under, nothing to squeeze through – just a large access entryway, with touch points throughout that support straightforward access.

How much space is inside the Grand G980 cabin?

The cabin offers over 1.85 metres of vertical clearance, and that figure applies throughout the entire space, not only at the entry point. In practice, this means you can stand upright to get dressed, move around without restriction and use the space without the ceiling working against you.

Four windows contribute to the sense of openness. Two large tinted windows on either side of the cabin allow natural light to fill the interior without creating heat or glare, and both can be covered with blinds when privacy or darkness is needed. Two additional tinted windows open and are each fitted with a flyscreen, providing proper ventilation without insects entering. The cabin does not feel like a sealed compartment; it is a well-lit, and well-ventilated space.

How many people does the Grand G980 cabin sleep?

The Grand G980 comfortably sleeps two adults and can be figured either as twin singles or a double berth.

In its standard layout, the cabin provides twin single berths, each with deep storage lockers running underneath. The under-berth storage is sized to hold clothing, towels, toiletries and personal items for an overnight stay or a weekend on the water. The single berths also serve as bench seats, giving passengers a sheltered space to sit inside when conditions call for it. USB charging ports and internal lighting are fitted throughout.

Insert the built-in extension boards and the twin berths become one continuous double bed. The conversion requires no tools and no parts that need to be sourced or stored separately.
