THE RANGES
Meet The Grand Ranges
Our array of rigid hull inflatable boats and tender boats are categorised across three key series
Tender Series
Our inflatable tender boat series ranges from 3 metres to 5 metres. Designed to work alongside a larger boat or vessel, our tenders are lightweight, functional and refined in their styling. Our S Line of tenders are compact and functional with less of the premium customisation options that you'll find across our G Line of tenders.
G Series
The G Series covers our leisure and luxury cruiser RIBs from 5.8m to 10m. Centre console layouts maximise onboard space and make moving around the boat comfortable and easy. This range can be configured with fibreglass t-tops, aft deck showers, fridge-freezers, onboard toilets, sink and tap setups, twin or single Garmin chart plotters, and Fusion speaker systems, making them a natural choice for family boating, coastal cruising, and extended day trips.
Drive Series
The Drive Series is our range of premium sports RIBs, built for performance and offshore capability. Deeper v-hulls and raised tubes handle swell and chop with confidence, while high power options make these boats a strong choice for fishing, wakeboarding, and fast-water adventures. Open plan layouts keep deck space and storage generous, so there is always room for the gear your trip demands.
FAQ
Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats: Frequently Asked Questions
What is a rigid hull inflatable boat?
A rigid hull inflatable boat is a lightweight, high-performance watercraft that combines a solid fibreglass or composite hull with inflatable hypalon or PVC tubes running along the sides. The rigid hull provides speed, stability, and handling in all sea conditions, while the inflatable tubes add buoyancy and impact absorption. RHIBs are used worldwide for recreational boating, fishing, diving, commercial operations, and as yacht tenders. Read More: What is a Rigid Inflatable Boat
What is the difference between a RIB and a RHIB?
RIB and RHIB refer to the same type of boat. RIB stands for rigid inflatable boat, while RHIB stands for rigid hull inflatable boat. Both terms are used interchangeably in Australia and internationally.
How Long Do Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats Last
A well-maintained RHIB can last 20 years or more. Longevity depends largely on tube material, maintenance routine, and exposure to UV and saltwater. Orca Hypalon tubes are more resistant to UV degradation and saltwater than PVC and other tube materials, making them the preferred choice for Australian conditions and long-term ownership. Other factors like whether your tubes have overpressure valves fitted and how you care for your tubes will determine the longevity of your RIB.
