Diving Boat FAQs

RIBs are a popular choice for diving because of their stability, open deck space, and ease of water access. Grand RIBs are fitted with ladders as standard, offer generous onboard and under-deck storage for tanks and gear, and feature spacious decks that give divers room to kit up comfortably before entering the water. Our fibreglass hulls are also exceptionally designed to ensure a balanced, stable and high-performing ride in all conditions.

Yes. Every Grand RIB dive boat is fitted with a ladder as standard, making re-boarding safe and straightforward after a scuba dive, freedive or spearfishing session.

Yes. Grand’s dive RIBs are well suited to scuba diving, freediving and spearfishing. Our Grand D600 is used by a number of customers in Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales for spearfishing and free diving in particular. The spacious deck, onboard storage and re-boarding ladder make them a practical choice across all diving disciplines.

All of our models sized 6 metres and above – such as the D600, G680, G750, G850, D950 and G980 – all perform incredibly well in offshore conditions. Their deep V hulls have long chines, sharp deadrises, and have a bow that sits higher out of the water, meaning that they ride higher and more dryly.

Yes, as standard all of our Grand Boats come fitted with Garmin chart plotters and fish finders, giving you reliable navigation and engine data while you’re operating offshore. We also include safety gear with every boat, ensuring you have everything you need on the water if conditions change.

Why A Grand RIB is the best Diving Boat

Grand RIBs are a popular choice among divers worldwide, and many of our models are built with the specifics of diving in mind.

From the inclusion of ladders for easy reboarding, to generous storage to keep gear off the deck, electric anchors for easy anchoring at your favourite dive sports, and spacious decks so you’ve to room to kit up comfortably onboard before you hit the water.

Our fibreglass hulls are exceptionally-designed, with a deep-v design and sharp deadrise, ensuring a comfortable driving experience when you’re heading offshore to your dive site.

The Grand D600 is one of our most popular diving boats, with a configurable deck layout that allows you to remove seating and add storage for oxygen tanks and diving equipment to suit your setup.

For larger groups or longer offshore trips, the Grand D950 offers a larger passenger capacity and a twin step deep v-hull that covers distance efficiently. Its repositionable console frees up stern space for tank storage and seating, making it a strong choice for dedicated dive charters and offshore expeditions.

All Grand dive RIBs are fitted with Garmin chart plotters and fish finders for navigation safety and confidence on the water.
